12m Solar Street Light Standard Configuration & Design Guide (2026 Edition)
For municipal arterial roads, industrial parks, and large-scale square lighting projects, the 12-meter solar street light is a mainstream choice that balances illumination range with structural stability. This article provides a set of standard configuration parameters ready for engineering bidding or RFQ (Request for Quotation), along with design recommendations for different application scenarios.

3.2V 300Ah special solar lithium iron phosphate battery, UL94-VO level flame-retardant ABS shell design, corrosion-resistant, high capacity, high temperature resistance, long lifespan, high safety, with a 2000-cycle life capacity retention rate of over 70%.

Purilux has 250 high-brightness LED light beads.
The size of the lamp body is 780*263*75mm. Combined with outdoor-specific LED lamps, it has good heat dissipation performance. The light beads use Purilux chips, and the overall light efficiency can reach 200lm/W, with a service life of over 50,000 hours.

Light pole fastening accessories
The geobag is 280mm x 280mm x 1000mm in size, with a diameter of 24mm. It comes with the corresponding fastening parts. The structure is composed of galvanized square tubes in the form of an "I" shape, along with 60-gauge sleeve couplings.

Application Scenario: Two-way four-lane roads, county/ township main roads, park ring roads.
Installation: Recommended spacing 25-35 meters. Illuminance can reach 15-30 lux.
II. Configuration Recommendations by Application Scenario
1. Municipal Arterial Roads / Traffic Thoroughfares (High Brightness)
Configuration Upgrade: Increase LED power to 120W-150W (Luminous flux ≥20,000 lm). Increase battery capacity to 80Ah-100Ah.
Design Focus: Use double-arm designs to expand coverage and ensure road surface uniformity. It is recommended to configure intelligent dimming-automatically reducing power to 50% after midnight to balance battery life and brightness.
2. Rural Roads / Branch Roads (Cost-Effective)
Configuration Adjustment: 60W-80W LED power is sufficient for basic traffic needs. Battery can be reduced to 40Ah-50Ah if fewer rainy days need to be supported.
Design Focus: Prioritize checking foundation depth (recommended ≥1.8m) and flange plate dimensions (≥380mm) to prevent tipping due to unstable ground.
3. Squares / Parking Lots (All-Night Lighting)
Configuration Adjustment: Significantly increase Battery Capacity (recommended ≥100Ah) and PV Panel Power (≥350W) to ensure full-power operation for 12+ hours.
Design Focus: Dual-head or triple-head luminaire layouts are recommended to cover large areas effectively.
III. Key Design Verification & Avoidance Guide
1. Wind Resistance & Structural Safety
A 12-meter pole is classified as high-mast equipment and requires structural verification. Under standard configurations, the bottom diameter should be ≥200mm, the flange plate should be ≥380×380×18mm, the concrete foundation should be at least C25 grade, and the burial depth should not be less than 1/6 of the pole height (i.e., 2 meters).
2. Rainy Day Autonomy Calculation
The standard "3-5 days" autonomy is calculated based on a daily energy consumption of approx. 1.2kWh (120W × 10h). If the project is located in a region with frequent rain (e.g., Southern China during monsoon season), designing for "7-day autonomy" is necessary. In this case, the battery capacity must be increased to over 120Ah accordingly.
3. Battery Selection: LiFePO4 vs. Lead-Acid
LiFePO4 batteries are strongly recommended. Although the initial cost is slightly higher, their cycle life is 3-5 times that of lead-acid batteries, they offer superior high-temperature performance, and lower long-term O&M costs, making them ideal for unattended remote areas.
